Film Review- Cats and Dogs 2: The Revenge of Kitty Galore

Wow! A sequel actually worth watching! It's got the humour and charisma of the first film with spoofs of well known films thrown in for good balance; these included the likes of Silence of the Lambs, Batman and James Bond.

Full of animals, full of action, full of high tech spy gizmos, with a twist in the usual cat vs dog story. Although unbelievable that cats and dogs would ever get up to this kinds of shenanigans, I can all but hope that the next time I see two dogs sniffing each other that it is the cover position to hide their secret mission.

Admittedly like most films with voice overs I spent it guessing who was voicing each character, not always with much success. The film starred the likes of James Marsden, Christina Applegate, Bette Midler and Roger Moore. And then after guessing these, spent more time figuring out which other movies featured in the film. Mr Tinkles was clearly the cutest thing imaginable dressed as Hannibal Lecter making the noises Anthony Hopkins made memorable.

Hopefully, there will be a third in the series, but I can't see where they can take in next, more cats trying to take over the world maybe; or a twist and the dogs decide they want to... hmmmm maybe not.

It's a film the kids would absolutely love, I know I did. I might even watch it again before we take it back to the store.

Film Review- Teeth

OUCH!!!!! Well that was painful... and I don't just mean for the men losing precious body parts. Who came up for the concept of a film like that? I'm not sure I could sit through it again, but at least I can say I sat through it once, and spent most of it laughing at how stupid the whole thing was.

A film based around a pure girl waiting to be married before sex who discovers her Vagina Dentata when a friend forces himself upon her. By the end of the film she is purposely running around attacking men with her new "friend".

Once seeing the teeth do their worst the first time there's not really much point in the rest of the film, especially considering you never actually see the teeth at work, just the aftermath.

I can honestly say I'm glad I didn't pay for a cinema ticket to see the film, and watched it from the comfort of my own bed. Not one of the most difficult plots to follow, then again horror comedies never are. Maybe next time we try 'Lesbian Vampire Killers' or 'Shaun of the Dead' cause frankly it can't be any worse.
