Give it a go; you know you want to

As a Journalist student using this blog to gain a sense of how to write, what to write about and to generally gain some experience I am going to bore you with this tool. I will bombard you with film reviews, books reviews, news and every now and then my opinions on life in general (this may be more often than you expect). But don't let this put you off, I'm sure you will find something of interest which will entertain and perhaps even draw a few laughs.

World's Strictest Parents

This is one of those programmes I shouldn't like and don't particularly do, but its definately interesting to see two spoilt brats who run amok and cause their parents stress being sent to strict families all over the world to learn how they bring up their children.

When stacking a dishwasher or vacumming the carpet initialises the anger and rage of two teenagers its shocking to see how much teens of today get away with. I'm not saying I agree with the way all of these families enforce their rules but maybe parents in this country should take a leaf out of their books.

How have some of these teenagers made it in life without getting a smack. Perhaps some of them should have been put in their place by family members or friends.

"They can tell me what to wear, but at the end of the day they're not my parents." They might not be your parents but you're living with a family willing to take you in for a period of time and you have the nerve to moan... maybe you should get your priorities right. Forget what you're wearing and take an interest in what you're being taught by the family and see if you could learn a few manners on the short holiday. Yes, holiday! You're in another country, having a break from your usual regime, and although you may be asked to carry out a few chores I don't see the problem. Dress more conservatively and get your thumb from up your ass and attempt to behave yourself for one week!
